Hany Hafez

Hany Hafez is a fragrance entrepreneur and the founder of Alexandria Fragrances. He was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, where he was introduced to the world of fragrance at a young age. His family owned several shops, and as a child, Hany would help out by mixing oils and creating his own fragrances.

After receiving positive feedback from friends and family, Hany decided to open his own shop in 2002. He also worked as a part-time tour guide, which allowed him to share his knowledge of fragrance with others and direct them to shops and bazaars where they could purchase essential and perfume oils.

Hany maintained his shop for eight years before deciding to travel to Europe for a short time. In 2011, he moved to the United States to be closer to his family. Shortly after arriving in the States, he noticed that the pricing for niche fragrances was often unreasonable and that the performance of many of them didn't justify the price.

Production:

remiScent rebottles all products independently, separate from the original manufacturers.

Return:

Missing, Faulty or Damaged Items:

• If items are damaged, faulty, or missing upon delivery, we may offer a replacement, credit note, or refund as deemed suitable.
• Customers must report any missing, faulty, or damaged items within 24 hours of receiving the delivery. Immediate inspection of all received items is required.
• Failure to report within the 24-hour window will be interpreted as an acceptance of the goods in their received condition. Damage reported after 24 hours may not be acknowledged for claims.
• To support a claim, customers are expected to provide digital images and a written statement confirming that the items arrived damaged.

Authenticity Guarantee:

•  We guarantee that the product you receive will be authentic. Each perfume sample is hand-produced to order from the manufacturer’s original bottle.
• Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that you will like it. Fragrance preferences are subjective, and individual experiences may vary.
• Due to the custom nature of our samples, we cannot accept returns or exchanges based on personal preferences.

14-Day Cooling Off Period:

•  We recognise that mistakes happen during ordering. Therefore, we offer a strictly conditional 14-day cooling off period from the date of delivery.
• To be eligible for a return, the product must be unopened, in original condition, and with all packaging intact.
• If the packaging has been opened prior to return, the return will be refused.

Manufacturer Variations:

•  Fragrances are subject to production variations and formula changes by manufacturers. Such variations do not constitute a fault in the product.
• We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits based on perceived differences from previous experiences.

Customer Responsibility for a Return:

•  It is the customer’s responsibility to contact us with a return request, including the reasons and any evidence of the issue, before sending the item back.
• All costs associated with returns are the responsibility of the customer.
• We strongly recommend using a tracked postal service to ensure safe return delivery.
