Opus XIV – Royal Tobacco by Amouage, created by Cécile Zarokian, opens with a distinctive aromatic lift where olibanum meets anise and cardamom. The effect is bright but slightly mysterious, fresh yet already hinting at something darker underneath. It draws you in quietly, without rushing.

As it develops, the heart reveals its full character. Tobacco takes centre stage, rich and textured, paired with the unusual sweetness of liquorice that adds a slightly dark, almost syrupy nuance. Osmanthus brings a soft floral-fruity touch, keeping the composition balanced while never taking away from the depth.

In the base, the fragrance becomes warmer and more enveloping. Bourbon vanilla adds a smooth, creamy sweetness, while oud and myrrh deepen the scent with a resinous, smoky richness. The dry down lingers with confidence, leaving a trail that feels both luxurious and distinctive.

Cécile Zarokian is a highly acclaimed and accomplished independent perfumer based in Paris, France. With over 15 years of experience in the perfume industry, Cécile has made a significant contribution to the world of perfumery. She founded her own company, Cecile Zarokian Parfumeur, in 2011, and has created fragrances for various prestigious brands in Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Over the years, she has composed fragrances for numerous brands across the globe, including Amouage, Nishane, David Jourquin, Jovoy Paris, and Salvador Dali, among others. Her perfumes are known for their unique and captivating scents that evoke a sense of luxury and sophistication.

Cécile's talent as a perfumer is renowned, and she has worked with leading fragrance house Robertet, where she created her first fragrance, Epic Woman, for Amouage, which remains one of the brand's best-selling fragrances to date. She is an alumna of ISIPCA, the esteemed perfumery training school founded by JJ Guerlain in Versailles.

Return and Cancellation:

Cancellations Before Fulfilment:

• Orders can be cancelled before they have been fulfilled or dispatched.
• Once an order has been fulfilled or dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled, but customers may submit a return or withdrawal request where eligible.

Returns and Withdrawal:

• Customers may request a return within 14 days of receiving their order, or within 14 days of receiving the last item in the order where items are delivered separately.
• To be eligible for return, perfume samples must be unopened, unused, in original condition, and with all packaging intact.
• Opened, used, sprayed, tampered-with, or unsealed perfume samples cannot be returned, unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
• Fragrance preferences are personal and subjective, so we cannot accept returns or exchanges simply because a customer does not like a scent, or because it smells different from previous experiences.

Damaged, Faulty, Incorrect or Missing Items:

• If your item arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect, or missing, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of delivery, with photos and details of the issue.
• All return requests are reviewed before approval. Please do not send anything back before receiving return instructions from us.
