Aoud Cuir d’Arabie by Montale, created by Pierre Montale, is not a gentle leather fragrance, it’s raw, smoky, and unapologetically intense from the very first spray. It opens with a sharp, almost biting mix of leather and birch, immediately giving off a dry, slightly burnt character that feels rugged and uncompromising.

As it develops, the composition becomes denser rather than softer. Tobacco adds a dark, slightly sweet warmth, while oud deepens the scent with an earthy, animalic edge. The leather remains at the centre, thick and textured, never fully smoothing out, which gives the fragrance its distinctive identity.

In the base, the smokiness settles into something more constant and enveloping. The leather and oud blend into a long-lasting, powerful trail that feels bold and unmistakable. It doesn’t fade quietly, it stays present, leaving a strong impression.

Pierre Montale

Pierre Montale, a renowned perfumer and founder of the prestigious niche perfume houses Montale and Mancera, was born in France.

Pierre Montale's career took off when he embarked on a journey to the Kingdom of Arabia 20 years ago. During his travels, he was introduced to confidential materials through the Royal family, inspiring him to create an olfactory universe that would eventually lead to establishing the Montale perfume house in Paris in 2003.

Montale uses high-quality, high-concentration natural materials in his fragrances, resulting in intense and long-lasting scents. The brand's signature ingredient is oud, or agarwood, which features many of its creations prominently.

Return and Cancellation:

Cancellations Before Fulfilment:

• Orders can be cancelled before they have been fulfilled or dispatched.
• Once an order has been fulfilled or dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled, but customers may submit a return or withdrawal request where eligible.

Returns and Withdrawal:

• Customers may request a return within 14 days of receiving their order, or within 14 days of receiving the last item in the order where items are delivered separately.
• To be eligible for return, perfume samples must be unopened, unused, in original condition, and with all packaging intact.
• Opened, used, sprayed, tampered-with, or unsealed perfume samples cannot be returned, unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
• Fragrance preferences are personal and subjective, so we cannot accept returns or exchanges simply because a customer does not like a scent, or because it smells different from previous experiences.

Damaged, Faulty, Incorrect or Missing Items:

• If your item arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect, or missing, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of delivery, with photos and details of the issue.
• All return requests are reviewed before approval. Please do not send anything back before receiving return instructions from us.

Do you offer refunds for variations in fragrances?
