Ramon Monegal

The name Ramon Monegal is not only a niche perfume brand from Barcelona. It symbolizes Spanish perfumery since his family founded the iconic Myrurgia in 1916. His family was responsible for historical scents like Embrujo de Sevilla, Sospiro de Granada, and Maderas de Oriente. The Monegal family represents, therefore, a long tradition of perfumery.

Born in 1951 in Barcelona, Ramón Monegal hails from Spain's most prominent family of perfumers, the founders of Myrurgia, who were appointed suppliers to the Spanish Royal House. As a fourth-generation 'nose,' Ramón followed his family's footsteps and began his training in 1972, focusing on perfecting infusions of ambergris, tonka bean, musk, castoreum, civet, and iris. He continued his education in Geneva under the guidance of maître parfumeur Artur Jordi Pey (of Firmenich), in Grasse with Marcel Carles, and in Paris with Pierre Bourdon (from Takasago and Fragrance Resources). Ramón also nurtured his fascination with design, architecture, and the conceptualization of science and art by studying architecture at the Barcelona Design Centre in 1977.

Ramón Monegal's first successful fragrance was created for Myrugia in 1979. He spent decades crafting scents for other perfume houses until 2007 when he fulfilled his long-held dream of establishing his own brand. In 2009, after 40 years in the perfume industry, Ramón Monegal launched his first collection under his eponymous perfume house based in Barcelona. This venture allowed him to complete creative freedom and connect directly with the public. Ramón Monegal's perfumes showcase his belief in the importance of artisan methods and unrestricted creativity in raising perfume to the level of art.

14-Day Cooling Off Period:

•  We recognise that mistakes happen during ordering. Therefore, we offer a strictly conditional 14-day cooling off period from the date of delivery.
• To be eligible for a return, the product must be unopened, in original condition, and with all packaging intact.
• If the packaging has been opened prior to return, the return will be refused.
