Spring blossom with a little melancholy.

Zoologist Nightingale pairs the rosy, powdery scent of Japanese plum blossom with the earthy depth of a classic floral chypre. Created by Tomoo Inaba, this niche perfume has a vintage elegance that feels beautifully suited to its Japanese spring inspiration.

Bergamot and lemon bring brightness to the opening, while saffron adds warm spice. At the heart, plum blossom meets red rose and violet: a generous floral arrangement with a tart edge and the nostalgic softness of face powder. There’s something tender about it, like flowers kept beside an old photograph.

Beneath those petals, oakmoss and patchouli give the fragrance its earthy foundation. Oud, sandalwood and frankincense deepen the composition, with labdanum, ambergris and white musk completing the base. The flowers remain part of a richer, more intricate picture as the scent unfolds.

Return and Cancellation:

Cancellations Before Fulfilment:

• Orders can be cancelled before they have been fulfilled or dispatched.
• Once an order has been fulfilled or dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled, but customers may submit a return or withdrawal request where eligible.

Returns and Withdrawal:

• Customers may request a return within 14 days of receiving their order, or within 14 days of receiving the last item in the order where items are delivered separately.
• To be eligible for return, perfume samples must be unopened, unused, in original condition, and with all packaging intact.
• Opened, used, sprayed, tampered-with, or unsealed perfume samples cannot be returned, unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
• Fragrance preferences are personal and subjective, so we cannot accept returns or exchanges simply because a customer does not like a scent, or because it smells different from previous experiences.

Damaged, Faulty, Incorrect or Missing Items:

• If your item arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect, or missing, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of delivery, with photos and details of the issue.
• All return requests are reviewed before approval. Please do not send anything back before receiving return instructions from us.
