Zoologist Rhinoceros (2020 Version)

Rhinoceros Edition 2020 by Zoologist charges in with whiskey, dark rum and roasted coffee, then refuses to soften its edges. Created by Prin Lomros, this unisex fragrance reimagines the original Rhinoceros through boozy warmth, smoky tobacco and rugged leather.

Pink pepper and basil sharpen the opening, cutting through the richness with a dry, herbal bite. Soon, tobacco absolute becomes the centre of gravity, wrapped in leather, incense and flouve, with ylang-ylang adding an unexpected floral glow beneath all that smoke. As it settles, Laotian oud, cypriol, patchouli and oakmoss create a dusty, earthy depth, while amber gives the composition just enough warmth to hold everything together.

Rhinoceros feels dry, robust and unapologetically substantial, with the atmosphere of worn leather, strong drink and tobacco smoke hanging in hot air. Its presence is confident without relying on sweetness to make itself approachable.

Prin Lomros

Prin Lomros, a self-taught perfumer from Thailand, discovered his love for fragrances as a child, often wearing his mother's perfumes. With no universities in Thailand offering perfumery courses, Prin decided to pursue his other passion, filmmaking. After earning a master's degree in film, Prin realized that his true calling lay in the world of scents.

Upon visiting Grasse, France, for the Cannes Film Festival, Prin took short perfumery courses that further ignited his passion for the art. Returning to Thailand, he joined The Perfumer's World, a leading fragrance company in Bangkok, where he honed his skills before launching his own brands: Pryn Parfum, Strangers Parfumerie, and Parfum Prissana. In 2020, he rebranded his creations under the name PRIN, continuing to craft scents inspired by Asian traditions, film, and style.

Prin Lomros' artisan fragrances have received international recognition, winning the Art and Olfaction Awards from the Institute of Art and Olfaction in 2017 and 2018. His creations can be found in various brands, including Azman, Der Duft, Prissana, Pryn Parfum, Strangers Parfumerie, The Fragrance Engineers, and Zoologist Perfumes.

Return and Cancellation:

Cancellations Before Fulfilment:

• Orders can be cancelled before they have been fulfilled or dispatched.
• Once an order has been fulfilled or dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled, but customers may submit a return or withdrawal request where eligible.

Returns and Withdrawal:

• Customers may request a return within 14 days of receiving their order, or within 14 days of receiving the last item in the order where items are delivered separately.
• To be eligible for return, perfume samples must be unopened, unused, in original condition, and with all packaging intact.
• Opened, used, sprayed, tampered-with, or unsealed perfume samples cannot be returned, unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
• Fragrance preferences are personal and subjective, so we cannot accept returns or exchanges simply because a customer does not like a scent, or because it smells different from previous experiences.

Damaged, Faulty, Incorrect or Missing Items:

• If your item arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect, or missing, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of delivery, with photos and details of the issue.
• All return requests are reviewed before approval. Please do not send anything back before receiving return instructions from us.
